I was always jealous of other people who had no zits. Until one day, I decided that I was tired of being jealous and finally began to do something about it. I’m about to tell you the simple EXTRA steps you must take to win the battle.
My Epic Fail
At first, I figured I was just being lazy about washing my face. So I started washing my with some Dove bar soap everyday that smells nice and feels good. But two weeks went by, and nothing changed. I had the same amount of acne, maybe even more!@#
Take Two
Well, obviously I decided to try something else. I kept seeing this TV commercial with Katy Perry promoting ProActiv acne solution. I got it in the mail and started using it. At first, it helped a little but not as much as I thought it would. I had maybe 50% less acne after a couple weeks.

I google’d for hours trying to figure out if I was using ProActiv wrong. But I was NOT doing a couple other things I should have done.

First, I learned that I was not drinking enough water to keep my skin hydrated. Basically, drinking water throughout the day is really important so that ProActiv does not dry out your skin. Some people complain about ProActiv drying out their skin, but these people are not drinking enough water and on top of that, they probably drink a lot of sodas and energy drinks which are not good at hydrating your body and skin.

Second, I learned that I had to stop popping zits every night and just basically keep my hands off my face as much as possible. Most zits shouldn’t be popped because you’re just adding pressure and inflammation to your skin and your pores. You can pop them if they are at a stage where they don’t require much pressure. But if they require any hard pressure, they should not be popped. You will just be making your face more red. Also, throughout the day you must train yourself not to touch your face, rub your face, or especially not pick/scratch your face. This is because your hands touch everything in daily life and you are transferring invisible dirt, oil, and bacteria to your skin which just makes acne a lot worse.
